The HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is one of the most popular servers of HPE’s Gen9 servers. Like the DL380 Gen9 it has the same number of CPU and memory slots but fewer drive bays and expansion slots for cards. When rack space is tight and you don’t require the extra expandability of the 2U DL380 G9 the 1U size of the DL360 G9 makes it the ideal choice.

Processors
The system has two CPU sockets for processors and can support either the E5-2600v3 or E5-2600v4 processor range. Hyper threading is supported on nearly all of the processors in the V3 and V4 range.

Memory
With 24 DIMM slots available the HPE DL360 G9 is has a lot of expandability potential should you choose to start with a entry level configuration, allowing you to increase your servers capabilities when your business requires. Using load reduced dimms you could have a maximum RAM capacity of 3TB! DDR4 registered dimms allow for up 768GB of memory and using non volatile DDR4 dimms gives a max capacity of 128GB.

Storage
This server has an extensive range of drive options for SAS, SATA and SSD. There are 3 chassis options for this server:
8x SFF at the front
10x SFF at the front
4x LFF at the front
You cannot have an optical drive if you choose the 10x SFF or 4x LFF chassis.

Expandability
At the rear of the server the HPE DL360 Gen 9 has 3x PCIe 3.0 slots, slot 1 and 2 ship standard with slot 3 as an optional extra. The server also has a flexible LOM bay which can be populated with a card of your choice. In addition there are 4 embedded 1GbE ports, a dedicated iLO4 port, 2x USB 3.0, video connector and optional serial port.
